Aisling Bea
Aisling B a, born 16 March, 1984, in Kildare Ireland. Bea was on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea first began her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011, following small parts she appeared for Irish and British television dramas starting in 2009. She was already regularly being featured on sketch comedy programs as well as sitcoms. After she was awarded an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear often in various panel shows. She was captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016-2017 and is regularly a contestant on the spinoff, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She is the daughter of Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. She was in 2012 the second female to win the So You Believe That You're Funny award. Bea's surname is in honour of her father who passed away. Aisling Claiodhnadh Sullivan was born on March 16, 1984, from Kildare, County Kildare. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was an equine veterinarian who committed suicide when Bea was just three years old. She was not told the cause of his death until she reached the age of 13. The stage name she chose was Bea to pay tribute to her father. She published an article in The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea's mom Helen, who is also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey was in charge of the care of her daughter as well as Sinead. Her parents were obsessed by horses and racing. Bea was a trainer for her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her beginning teens. However, she knew, that racing wasn't what she wanted to do as a profession and preferred doing.
